Hello everyone, let me introduce the production, processing, and molding process of all our daily plastic bottles for cosmetics, shampoo bottles, beverage bottles, etc. Most of these bottles are made of PET material because PET material has good transparency, food grade safety and environmental protection, high production capacity, and durability. Widely used in packaging containers for cosmetics and skincare products. How is a bottle made from PET raw material particles extracted from petroleum transformed into the shampoo bottles we use in our daily lives? Now I will introduce the following steps based on PET plastic bottles for cosmetics:
1、 Raw materials: PET raw materials commonly used by us include Hainan materials and Huarun materials, with a general price range of 7000-9000 yuan per ton (synchronized with oil prices, and raw materials increase with oil prices), all of which are food grade raw materials. The raw materials are extracted from petroleum and made into granules. Then they are packaged one by one, and when there is an order from the preform factory, it is sent to the preform factory one by one (usually 30 tons or 30 packages per truck)
2、 Embryo injection: The preform factory will inject the purchased raw materials into preforms by mixing them with proportionally adjusted color powder according to the customer's order color requirements. Transparent preforms do not require the addition of color powder. Injection molded preforms are made by drawing raw materials into an injection molding machine, melting them at over 300 degrees Celsius, and injecting them into a mold. The mold is then rapidly cooled by water circulation to form the preform. Generally, after injection molding, the preform has a small tail with a water outlet, which is automatically cut off by a tail cutting machine. To prevent scratches on the preform, it is operated by a robotic arm when it comes out of the injection mold. The injection molded preforms are packed in boxes and sent to the blow molding factory for the next blow molding process.
3、 Blow molding: The bottle preforms purchased by the blow molding factory are then baked through the lamp tube of the blow molding machine to around 80 degrees, until the preforms are soft and evenly baked, but not baked. Then it enters the bottle mold and is pulled up to the height of the bottle by the machine's lifting rod. The preform is then blown into shape under 40 kilograms of air pressure, and instantly molded by the mold's water cooling. After opening the mold, it is a molded bottle.
4、 Process: After the bottle is blown, it enters the next stage. The process of making the bottle generally includes screen printing, hot stamping, labeling, shrink molding, spraying, water transfer printing, etc., which are usually customized according to customer requirements. Once the bottle body is crafted and paired with a cap or pump head, it becomes a complete bottle.
5、 Packaging: Finished bottles, especially those that have been processed, are generally more prone to scratches, especially those that are transparent or translucent in color. Scratches can affect the appearance. After processing, each bottle is usually fitted with a small sleeve to prevent collision and scratches. This is also an essential step in making high-end products.
6、 Shipment: Before shipment, a second inspection and verification of defective products is usually conducted. Generally, it is best to pack the bottles in cardboard boxes for shipments that are far away from the destination, and to save costs, the large bottles near the local area are directly packed in bags and arranged on a board by board basis, and then delivered directly to the door through a delivery machine.
